“Mediterranean Minimalist” is a study in restraint and warmth—where sunbaked textures meet quiet sophistication. Rooted in the original architecture, the home’s evolution embraces intentional simplicity, allowing natural light, curated materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship to take center stage.
Since this house is made for entertaining, we wanted to make sure we had ample workspace on either side of the range and plenty of storage for food and prep.
The range’s 30-inch convection oven and 18-inch steam-combi convection oven deliver gourmet results.
“We knew we wanted to highlight the beautiful location of this home and accentuate the views. Since our climate here is so temperate, we often eat outdoors, so having that connection to the exterior patio space was an integral part of the design.”

Every element was chosen to feel timeless yet fresh—honoring the earthiness the architecture craves, while still leaning contemporary.
The kitchen blurs the line between indoors and out, inviting connection and ease. The result is a home that feels grounded and refined where Mediterranean meets minimalist.

Ariana Lovato
Central Coast of California-based Interior Designer, Ariana Afshar Lovato, has a strong understanding of design and culture to create spaces based on her clients’ passions and inspirations. After earning her degree in Interior Design from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of LaVerne, Ariana gained experience by working for different builders and designers before venturing on her own with Honeycomb Home Design. Ariana serves on the board of Central Coast Interior Designers, is an Associate National Kitchen and Bath Member, and an Allied ASID Member.
